Career Change – Increased Responsibility in Similar Role

Sam joined a mid-sized Engineering firm straight of out of graduate school. Sam has enjoyed her role and has learned a lot. She is a strong performer and after 5 years in her role she is ready for a new challenge and more responsibility.  She was recently turned down for an internal promotion which has taken a hit on her confidence level.

Sam is struggling to figure out what she should do next and if her current organization is the right place for her to stay.
