Strengths Concept

where are you at your best?

Strengths-based development focuses on helping people understand what they are naturally good at so that they can leverage these Strengths to continue to be more successful in all aspects of life.

Overview of Strengths

Strengths-based development is rooted in the Positive Psychology movement that emerged in the 1980s.  The basic idea is this – all of us have innate talents and when you invest in those talents, they develop into Strengths

From the work of the Gallup organization comes CliftonStrengths, a personal development tool which provides you insights into your unique Strengths and how they complement one another to impact all aspects of your life.

Research shows your time and energy is better spent on leaning into and enhancing your strengths, rather than trying to “fix” what you aren’t good at.

“People don’t change that much.  Don’t waste time trying to put in what was left out.  Drive to draw out what was left.  That was hard enough”

– Marcus Buckingham

Strengths Reports

INsights curated for you…

At Camp Strengths, you will learn how to interpret your reports, understand how your Strengths show up in your life and create strategies that can help you continue to be successful.

Once you register to attend Camp Strengths, you will receive a code to get the CliftonStrengths Assessment. Upon completion, you will have access to 4 different reports including a list of your 34 Strengths in order from most to least intense.

The most powerful report is the CliftonStrengths 34 which is customized for you; based on how your Strengths interact with one another.  It provides an overview of each of the Strengths and how to take action to maximize your potential.

We expect that you will review your reports before you attended camp, but as your “counselors” (coaches and facilitators), we have designed activities to help you to understand your report, learn more about Strengths and how you can integrate them into your world.
