Struggling in role

Sharon is a Senior Director of Accounting at a company of 6000 employees. She manages a team of 12 Accountants – some of whom are experienced and others who are more junior. She’s been in this role for 18 months after being a promoted as she was a successful individual contributor/ performer at the organization. Her team isn’t engaged and their work hasn’t been good. They’ve missed deadlines and projections have been off. She has been working 50+ hour per week in order to double check the work of her team and is close to burning out. The team hasn’t gelled, and her manager is upset with the results coming from the team.
